Are you Ocean Minded?

If you have been following me on twitter recently, I have been mentioning about this thing called Ocean Minded. Yes, I know. It sounds weird, but what is it actually?

If you are smart enough, you should know that Ocean Minded is a brand! I was invited to their Media launch for their 2010 Spring/ Summer collection. I had not idea what Ocean Minded was about, all i was told was that it's a footwear brand.

Nevertheless, I attended the event at their concept stall at Vivo...

I was given a little presentation about what Ocean Minded is all about. Ocean minded is the leading designer and manufacturer of environmentally responsible footwear and apparel. True to their name, all their footwear are made using natural, recycled and/or sustainable materials such as tires, plastic bottles etc.

They were saying how comfy the slippers would be b'cos of the material, or what they call Croslite which make each step feel light as air. I've heard lots of these promotional talk but how many cases are real? You never know until you try it (:

The kind people of Ocean Minded graciously allow us to pick any pair of their slippers that caught our eye for me! (It's ard $55 per pair!) After deciding a long time, I choose the "Seaweed", which i wore to school today! I love the colours! (:

Nice right! Trendy and being environmentally responsible at the same time!

Opps. Caught in the act. The food is damn nice too! But that's not the main point. Alright, do take a look at their cool slippers if you come across any of their stores!
P/s: This is not an advertorial! I decided to blog about it because i find the message that Ocean Minded is trying to bring across meaningful (:

2012: Where will you be?

I was watching movie trailers on Youtube, and i came across the movie, 2012. I was so amazed by the trailer that i quickly sms Don to ask if he wants to watch the movie. The next thing i know, I was on the way to Cineleisure! (:

Although I reached Cineleisure at 6pm, the earliest time slot i could get for 2012 was 11.45pm! The tickets were all sold out from 6 to 11.45pm! (The 11.45 slot tickets was selling fast too!) Not wanting to wait till so late to catch the movie, the alternative would be to watch it somewhere else. BUT THEN...

The tickets are the nearest cinema which is GV plaza sing and The Grand Cathay (didn't bother to check Shaw) were all sold out till late! So the 5 of us (Me, Don, Kaizhi, YingZi and Joyce) split ways to checkout illuma and Suntec Eng Wah!

Thank God there were tickets at Suntec! Bought tickets for 9.25pm (:

2012 is a science fiction disaster film based loosely on the 2012 phenomenon. I won't bother to say much about the 2012 story la. Basically it's about the world ending in its portrayal of cataclysmic events unfolding in the year 2012 lor...

The world better NOT end in 2012 b'cos that's the year i'll ORD from NS, and i wouldn't want to die spending the last 2 yrs of my life serving the country!

Seriously FML! -__- Ok, don't think too much andy. It won't happen.

Back to the show.

I was literally glued to the screen for that 2 and a half hours! The plot is interesting, the visual effects were damn real, it's really as if it will happen!

*touch wood*

Here are some disaster scenes from the movie! (Spoiler! Muahaha)

Major 10.5 earthquake in Los Angeles! Damn frightening!

The aftermath of the earthquake. Los Angeles collapses into the Pacific Ocean.

Volcano eruptions Yellowstone Caldera!

Vegas in Ruins. No more casinos for gamblers :(

Gigantic tsunami that sweeps everything else. Know how to swim also no use.

Ok, no more. That's more than enough to destroy the whole world. Oh ya, i keep talking about the disasters then forget the humans. Ok, forget it, I'm too lazy to talk about the humans. You should just go watch the movie la.

There are quite a few touching scenes, some of my friends teared. (I did not!) There were comical scenes too, esp the middle finger part, Lol. Damn funny!

Overall, it's a damn good movie. The movie gets...

5 out of 5 popcorn! Definitely worth the $ (Even if the ticket cost $9.50!)

P/s: I heard the tickets are still sold out until today! If you haven't watch, what are you waiting for? and those who slept during the movie, what's wrong with you?!

P/s/s: If you're thinking of downloading or watching the show from some website, I strongly advise you to catch it in cinemas! (Psst, can send me the movie?)

P/s/s/s: Have you ever wondered if this 2012 thing is true? Where will you be?

If you get to choose, where would you want to go?

I think I've been neglecting my blog a lot hor? Haven't been updating much. Oh wells, nothing interesting have been happening to my life. Boo.

Let me ask you this question, "Would you rather #1: Update a short post every 1 or 2 days, or #2: Update a long and hopefully interesting post every 3 to 4 days?"

When I have nothing to blog, I'll think of random topics to blog about. I decided to blog about the places that I want to go before i die! (I know it's abit kua zhang =/)

If you know me well enough, you should know that I have never take a plane in my life before. The furthest country i went is only Malaysia (Obviously by bus!) -__-

So if I get to take a plane to somewhere, where would i go? (:

I bet when i ask you all the question, most of you will just shout out the country like nobody's business lor. "Japan! Japan!" *Slap face* Oi, Japan so big, which part of japan you want to go? The volcano ah? or Mount Fuji? or some ulu village?
P.s: Clicking on the images will lead you to their Wikipedia page!

Most of my friends that went to taiwan told me about this restaurant after they came back! Modern Toilet is a restaurant in Taipei, Taiwan with a modern decor & a full-on toilet theme! The seats are all toilet bowls, and food are served in bath tubs and such! Even the ice cream is in the shape of a shit! Definitely must try (:

Destination #2: Thailand, Central World Shopping Center.

People always say that Bkk is one of the best place to go to get cheap stuff! I did abit of research and realised CentralWorld is the biggest shopping mall in Thailand! So it's shopping, shopping and more shopping! There are also lots of other things to do in Thailand! I can't wait to go! Someone please plan a trip :(

Destination #3: Hong Kong, Ocean Park.

Everytime I watch those Hong Kong drama, they will always exclaim "Let's go Ocean Park!" Then the next scene is the roller coaster rides and the marine show! I went online to checkout this themepark and it's freakin' huge! I think i can spend the whole day there. I'm really anticipating watching the marine show! (:

Destination #4: Tokyo, Disneyland.

Going to Disneyland is like every almost child's dream. I think everyone should at least visit Disneyland at least once in our life! I heard Tokyo's one is the best. Well, it's Japan hello? They have the most amazing things like the heated toilet bowl! AHAHAHA! Oh. I just realised Disneyland got no Bugs bunny or Tweety bird there.

Destination #5: California, Universal Studio Hollywood.

Everyone talks about Disneyland, Disneyland but this is another must-go place! The Universal Studio Hollywood! Nothing beats the rides & shows at Universal Studios! You can learn everything about movies and also feel your heart pound on rides like Revenge of the Mummy thrill coaster and Jurassic Park! So damn exciting!

Destination #6: Australia, Movie World.

How can we forget the Bugs bunny and Tweety bird that grew up with us! To see looney tunes character, You have to visit Movie world! The park contains various rides and attractions! Costumed character performers also patrol the park, and visitors gets the chance to take photos with them! It's gonna be damn fun can!

Alright, I should stop here or else the list will go on and go on forever! Now don't you feel like going on an holiday and visit one of these places?! If i get to go to anyone, I would take a gazillion photos lor! Sighs, when will it be my turn to go...

How to photoshop contact lens in less than a min?

This photoshop tutorial is for those who are lazy to wear coloured lens but want to act as if they are wearing it, in other words, Act chio.
Before learning the "andystorm" way, My way of photoshopping lens would be, Crop the lens that i want from an image like THIS (clickable) and piak into my eyes. The whole process takes about 15 mins & it's too tedious so i gave up. Boo.

P.s: This is not photoshop-ed. It's my real Geo lens.

BUT recently i found out another way to do it and this time it's so much easier! Easy and quick. You'll be surprise. You'll take less than a min after you master it (:

Step #1: Open up your photoshop and browse for act chio photo with big eyes!

Step #2: Zoom into one of your eyes. (Ctrl and + key)

Step #3: Select a brush size that can be use to draw an inner circle in your eye.

Step #4: Choose your lens colour.

Step #5: Adjust the Opacity to around 14 to 16%.

Step #6: Start drawing an "inner" circle in your eye.

Do the same for the other eye. At this point of time, if you are new to Photoshop or your hands are not steady, it's very easy to draw wrongly. So you have to undo your mistakes. Short cut for Undo is "Ctrl + Z" key. Practice makes perfect (:

Step #7: You are done! Zoom out to see the final picture! (Ctrl and - Key)

So you should get something like this for your end product:

Cool right? If you are clever enough, you should be able to get it after a few tries. Congrats! You have just learnt a new photoshop skill! But if you are the minority slower ones, perhaps this video might just help you understand better? (:

Now everyone can have chio eyes! If you are those plain lazy ones who wants chio eyes but is too lazy to photoshop, i guess you can just buy from a optical store?

Oh ya, don't ask me how to get Photoshop. It's either 1) You purchase it legally or 2) Download illegally. Alternatively, you can use GIMP to edit your photos (:

That's all! Hope you learn something new!

Olive, Olive and more Olive!

ANdyStorm decided to a short nap under the shade, then suddenly...

Something dropped on his head! !@#$%

He picked it up and realised it's an Olive fruit!
According to Wikipedia, the fruit oil obtained from the olive has lots of benefits. Virgin olive oil is one of the best ingredients for good health & great skin - bursting with nutrients, olive oil is one of Mother Nature's finest creations!
There is a company that uses the natural benefits of olive oil to provide products to create healthier, beautiful & radiant skin. This company is none other than DHC!

DHC is the No. 1 direct mail skincare company in Japan! They have a legacy of 29 years in Japan in creating high quality products. DHC uses ingredients that are tested without adding colouring agents or fragrances. Good for any skin type! (:

The above is one of their famous products. The Olive Essentials Set.

I dunno why, but when I think of skincare or cosmetics, I think of Watsons.
Watsons will be the sole distributor of DHC skincare products! From 5th Nov, you should be able to see them on the shelves of all Watsons stores!
Oh ya, if you think DHC is all about skincare products for girls, you are SO wrong! There are products for guys too! (I heard they are damn fun to use!)

The kind people at Watsons are sending me their range of guys products, wait till I try it out, then i shall do a review post to share with you guys! (: xoxoxo
