By the time you read this post, Iron Man 3 is already now screening in cinemas! In fact, some of you might have even watched it already! I've already watched the movie and i got to say it's really AWESOME! I really hope there would be more iron man movies, the sequel just gets better and better! Please please please let there be an Iron Man 4, LOL
As you read this, IRON MAN 3 has already made history in Singapore's box office over last weekend as the biggest opening weekend, generating S$4.6M in only 3 days! Honestly, i already expected this because this is one of the most anticipated movie of the year and till today, it's still quite difficult to get a good timing and good seats to catch the movie in cinemas! (I would highly recommend you to book your tickets online instead of queuing. Skip the queue!)
Some box office records IRON MAN 3 has claimed:
"ALL TIME BIGGEST INDUSTRY OPENING WEEKEND"
"FASTEST MOVIE TO CROSS S$4 MILLION MARK"
Congrats for the achievements! *throw confetti*
For those who have yet to watch the movie, here's the trailer!
Marvel's Iron Man 3 pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy's hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him:
"Does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?"
Starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale with Jon Favreau and Ben Kingsley, Iron Man 3 is directed by Shane Black from a screenplay by Drew Pearce & Shane Black and is based on Marvel's iconic Super Hero Iron Man, who first appeared on the pages of "Tales of Suspense" (#39) in 1963 and had his solo comic book debut with "The Invincible Iron Man" (#1) in May of 1968.
Talking about suit, i recently got a chance to "Become Iron Man" earlier at the BECOME IRON MAN AUGMENTED REALITY EVENT which is located at Level 1 of Bugis Junction (outside intercontinental hotel)!
From 19th April to 5th May (there's still time to drop by the event now!) you get to take on the role as Tony Stark a.k.a Iron Man and become "Iron Man" in the new MARK XLII armour! Iron Man fan boys alert! How cool is that!
Using motion sensor technology, Stark industries and JARVIS (Did you know it stands for Just A Really Very Intelligent System?) will assemble and let you test the new Mark XLII armour, the weapons and even test flight!
That's the system getting my statistics for the suit! LOLOLOLOL
Me in the Mark XLII looking serious! MUAHAHAHA
Doing a test flight to make sure the suit is functioning well.
Although the whole experience lasted for only about 5 mins, i'm quite impressed by how the motion sensor is able to detect every single movement i make! At the end of the session, you will be given a card with a unique code where you can log in at http://becomeironman.com.sg to download your photos (just like those few above!) at becoming Iron Man to share on your social media platforms! Do head down to Bugis Junction before 5th May to test the Mark XLII yourself!
Not only that, you get to see cool Ironman figures in different suits that you might see in the movie!
Have you ever wondered what you will ask Iron man if you could meet him?
Well, my question would definitely be -”Do you consider yourself to be a superhero?" Why this question? Well, superheroes are mostly born and not made. They are heroes that people (especially little kids, LOL) look up to throughout their childhood, like how people look at Superman and lessons they can learn from him. As for Iron Man, without the suit, without powers to defend himself and others, will he consider himself as a superhero?
