Sunday breakfast at Toast Box!

Once again, it's Sunday Breakfast with Claire! Decided to "tone-down" abit for this week and have something simpler. Reason: Our every Sunday breakfast routine cost around average 20 bucks for EACH of us, like abit too much hor... 20 bucks per week, 80 bucks per month leh! OMGWTFBBQ

So this week, we had...

TOAST BOX @ Tampines One! :D

Ordered a set meal but changed the hot tea/coffee to iced Milo instead! Thick and nice :D

Set comes with 2 soft boiled eggs, one drink (coffee or tea) and thick toast!

Mine is Chicken floss thick toast (left) and Claire's Peanut Butter thick toast! (right)

I always wonder how their soft boiled egg always turn out so nice. At home i make always damn ugly de. Same steps what, place egg in hot water, then wait awhile... Done! I even wait longer so that the egg will be more cooked but in the end always turn out watery, abit disgusting but no choice -__-

Total bill: $9.80 only! Less than 5 bucks per person! Save $$$ :D

Yes, i'm in the ARMY.

In fact, i've been inside since June 2010. I took me quite awhile to decide to reveal this little "secret" on my blog. When i first got my enlistment letter, the first few things i thought of was #1: My family, #2: My friends and #3: My blog. For Family and friends, I should be able to handle it in the Army.

But blogging? I was thinking, "Would i have time to continue blogging?", "Will my readership drop?", "Will i have time to do adverts and continue earning from my blog?" Questions after questions keep popping out in my head. I had to think of a perfect solution, but in the meantime i decided to keep it from everyone else. I managed to survive the first 2 months without anyone noticing i'm in the army...

Before enlisting, I HAD to get the BEST non-camera phone ever to keep myself updated with the outside world, HTC snap was the best choice at that time. I was able to check/update twitter, check my emails and also read/publish blog posts in camp... Thanks to mobile broadband *phew*

In order not to let myself and my blog readers down, every weekend i would prepare at least 3 blog posts and published them during the week. It was quite strenuous but i guess it's worth it. Another thing would be the PHOTOS. I refrained from posting photos of myself (obviously) and blog based more on other topics such as food. (Understand why the influx of food post nowadays already?)

Oh ya, i really want to thank this bunch of great friends that really really helped me a lot during this period! Especially trying NOT to blog about our outings fearing that my little secret will be leaked out through the photos! (Btw, i try to avoid group shots so that they can post their photos on their blogs...) But till today, they are waiting for my "official statement" before they start releasing the blog posts!

Just wanna say, THANKS GUYS! YOU ALL CAN START RELEASING THE PHOTOS!!! :D

"Thanks for being there." ♥

I will leave all the army blog posts in the near future but i got to say army is really quite tough :(

Jing long took this photo of me recently, damn kiddy right!

I'm turning 21 in around 2 months time, can you believe it? -__-

Anyway that's not the main focus of this post, can you spot anything "different" about me in the photo above? LOOK CAREFULLY. If not, wait for the full post tomorrow or the day after ;)

DBS Visa Prepaid Cards YOG Mascot Edition!

I've got something to share!!!!!! Ever since the YOG Visa card was released in conjunction with the Youth Olympic Game i always wanted one (or both the designs!) because the mascots is super cute!

So recently i went to tweet this:

AND GUESS WHAT???????

The PRs from The Right Spin caught my tweet and decided to send me one of the cards! Damn surprised when i saw the email! I had a hard time choosing between Lyo and Meryl lor, Meryl ftw! :D

Basically this DBS Visa Prepaid Cards has dual functionality! It's a Visa card and it's also a Ez link card, so you can use the card for your payment as well as for transport :D Here's what i used the card for:

#1: Booked Movie tickets online and paid using Visa :D

#2: Topped up the card and used it for my transport :D

#3: Paid for a pair of shoes using Visa :D

Honestly, I really like the idea of a "Prepaid Visa card". There's no age requirement so anyone can own this card, be it an adult, kids or youth. Parents can buy this card and top it up with some money for their kids to let them have an idea of how a credit card works (esp. the signing part, the feeling~ AHAHAHA) Not only that, they are able to track their expenditure online too! Quite safe for kids right!

Own a piece of history, get a DBS Visa Prepaid Cards YOG card :D

Universal Studios for the 2nd time!!!

Another overdue post! This is my 2nd time to Universal Studios Singapore! I must be one of the minority no. of people in Singapore that have been been to USS twice since it opened (other than those people working inside!) *flicks hair* and the best thing is, both time are FREE!!!!! MUAHAHA

Jiaqi won 5 tickets through the Family day contest and decided to invite me, Jing long and her friend - Gisiang along with her mum! So heng can! But the tickets are only valid for that particular day...

and that day is SG family day, so the crowd is like WOAH, not like the previous time i went...

SUPER CROWDED CAN!

First stop: 4D Shrek adventure!

Since i've been to USS once before so i'm officially the "tour guide" that day, so i suggested to go to the 4D Shrek adventure to "warm up" first. I was telling them how interesting the 4D was, so we headed straight into the queue! Had to wait 45MINS lor!!!!! and it was super crowded! Zzz.

Designated Pram parking area! Family Day - "Carpark FULL"

Group photo by the Battlestar Galactica Roller coaster! It was still closed. (even now!)

Next stop: Jurassic Park Rapid Adventures!

After the 4D shrek adventure, we were thinking USS is so crowded, we should go queue for those more exciting ones to not waste time. But guess what? Waiting time for Rapid Adventures was 1 HOUR & 45MINS! Can't believe we queued up and wait. But it was all worth it when it's our turn!

This time i smart already, brought my camera along so i can take photos of the dinosaur along the way! Plus i put it in a ziplock bag! *beams* The previous time scared kena water so i kept in the locker... Read about my "Rapid adventure" at another post HERE!!! (MUST Click and read!) :D

Next we queued up for the Canopy Flyer! Another 1 hour 2o mins, Zzz.

Took a risk and brought my camera onboard the ride! Must watch, damn funny!!!

Another group photo infront of the Sci Fi City! :D

The tickets came with $10 meal voucher so we had lunch at _____. (Forgot the name)

Came upon this store that sell funky hat, so we took a few and camwhore with it! AHAHAHA

Next stop: Water World!

Water World is one of the attractions i missed the previous time due to time constraint so this time die die also must allocate time to watch it! This is one show you CANNOT miss if you go to USS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Look at the crowd! At least for 1000 people there lor, if not then 2000! LOL

Got all the explosions and actions! Even got airplane crashing down into the water! Damn nice!

Took photos with the "heroes" of the show :D

Group photos with the mascots! Woody woodpecker and a Egyptian mummy!!!

Last by not least, the mascot from Hershey Chocolate World :D

That's all my 2nd trip to USS! Obviously i did not cover every single thing or every ride cos i did it in the previous post, the above are just the highlights and group photos just to share with you guys! If you guys didn't read my previous entry on USS, you can read Part 1 HERE and Part 2 HERE! :D

Sunday breakfast at Imperial treasure!

Another post on Sunday Breakfast! Claire and i had American breakfast at Cafe Cartel the first time, next we had French breakfast at Delifrance, it's time for some Chinese food! When we decided on Chinese food, the first thing that came up to our mind was DIM SUM!We had 2 places in our minds, either Imperial Treasure OR Din tai fung, after researching and reading reviews, we decided on...

Imperial Treasure Nan Bei Restaurant at Tampines One!

Met up quite early as this restaurant is ALWAYS crowded, especially on a Sunday morning!

Method of ordering is by indicating your orders on the order chit :D

Can't decide on what to drink so i chose something out of the norm - Pineapple Ice ($3)

Every time we placed an order, the waitress will put a little slip of paper on your table showing the dishes that we order! Feel like trying everything but honestly, the things are quite expensive!!! :(

The dim sums that we ordered! ANYTHING THAT CONTAIN CHAR SIEW IS SUPERB!

Ordered a bowl of Shrimp Wonton noodle too! The prawn is SUPER fresh! nom nom nom

Grand total of $41.20 for our breakfast!

Quite expensive but overall the food is superb! Everything is very fresh and pipping hot when served, service is good too. I will definitely bring my family to Imperial treasure soon! You should try it out too!
