Come have ice cream with me this Saturday!

Recently i was invited for a ice cream tasting session at Soft! Softserve ice cream located at Downtown east #01-23! How can i resist free ice cream!!! This store at Downtown east is their flagship store and they recently opened a kiosk at Hougang mall. So what's so special about them?

Throughout the 1 hour+ session, there's a steady flow of customers, all spoiled for choice!

Tip of the iceberg. Can you believe there are over 40 different concoctions?!

The shop assistant preparing the ice cream for us!

Top: Straits Chendol, Godzilla Max. Bottom: Sesame way, Zara Mango.

I like how they add in a local twist to their ice cream. A good example would be the Straits Chendol! Red bean paste, chendol jelly & gula malaka, how often do we see them serve with ice cream? I think aunties will definitely like it! Godzilla max is definitely for chocolate lovers! (Chocolate fudge, Oreo crumbs & Milo powder!) How bout Sesame way? Red bean paste, sunflower seed, sesame paste!

The thing about Soft! is that you don't get to choose what you want in the ice cream, therefore you are being "forced" to accept and you will be surprised by how everything blends perfectly! Imagine have sponge cake in your ice cream! Or cereals! My favourite for the day goes to...

MALDON SEASALT SPECIAL!

This is definitely one of the most unique ice cream that i have ever tried! It consist of Butterscotch, Maldon organic seasalt and Ritz cracker crumbs! Sounds quite normal but this ice cream is actually SALTY because of the sea salt! Every mouth is refreshing. Both sweet and salty at the same time.

Love the colourful cereals! Never thought of eating it with ice cream before!

They gave me this little media kit which consist of this cute little booklet that tells you which ice cream concoction you should have at different situations! Here's an example:

Does it really help? You will have to find it out yourself (:

In the media kit, there's also 5 "Complimentary happiness!" which i'm gonna share with you!!!

If you think you are free this Saturday (30th April) at around noon time, and would like to tryout one of Soft! soft serve ice cream with me at downtown east, drop me a comment below with your name, email and twitter by Friday, 29th April, 5pm! I will be choosing 5 readers to have ice cream with me!

Another 10 things about me you don't know!

From the success of my previous "10 things you don't know about me!" (Click here to read!) which i blogged in 2009. I always wanted to do a similar post so finally, here's ANOTHER 10 things you don't know about me so that you guys can know me better! Hope you guys enjoy reading this post! ♥♥♥

Fact #1: I always order Wanton mee but i don't eat the wanton!

I know it sounds abit stupid. It's like ordering Chicken rice but not eating the chicken but i really don't eat the wanton what! I like the noodles and the char siew and you can't order just Char siew noodles right? (Or maybe you can? I never try before, LOL) I always give my wantons to my friends! :D

Fact #2: I ALWAYS use 2 pieces of toilet paper at once.

I always wonder if i'm the only one who do that. I don't care how good quality, how many ply the toilet paper has, i will still use 2 pieces. It's like safer just in case... Ok, i shall not go into the details. LOL

Fact #3: Running is my no.1 most hated sport.

I like walking though. I don't mind walking long distances, especially at night when i can reflect on myself. But running is so damn irritating!!! Especially 2.4km, ZOMG. I almost died when i had to run 5km and 7km during army training. But if we don't meet the timing, we have to stay back on Friday nights. So lan lan suck thumb and run like a dog lor. My next IPPT is coming in a few weeks. GG

Fact #4: I have SEVERE motion sickness!

I know the above photo doesn't really show it. Since young, i had motion sickness. I would feel like vomiting everytime i take a cab because it jerks alot and when i take motion simulators, i will feel giddy. Alot of problems de lah. Hate it to the max. But i think mine is not the worse. My friend's brother would straightaway vomit ONCE he open the taxi's door. Now that's really serious. LOL

Fact #5: My favourite drink is Pepsi light or Coke light.

In fact, this is the only 2 soft drinks i would drink. If you ever see me drink other soft drinks instead of Pepsi/ coke light, the likely reasons is because these 2 drinks are not available. Alot of people always suan me say it won't make much difference, there's still sugar blah blah blah. Nah, I don't care (:

Fact #6: I HATE trying jeans/shorts outside.

I think alot of guys feel the same way as me. It's just TOO MUCH hassle to take off our shorts/ jeans just to try on another pair and put on back your own one. Honestly, i would rather get my size, bring home and if it doesn't really fit (which is normally won't be the case) then bring it back to exchange lor.

Fact #7: I'm an Apple fan but i HATE itunes.

Other than the apple products that i'm holding in the photo above. I also own the 2nd gen clip-on iPod shuffle and the 1st gen iPod nano. I just forgot where i put them -.- I love how they are so easy to use BUT i really hate the part where i have to transfer stuff using itunes. Why can't they just use the normal "drag and drop" method just like everyone else?! Why must act one ATAS! Ma fan. Zzz.

Fact #8: I love ice mountain mineral water!

I couldn't get the actual bottle in time so i decided to photoshop the logo on another plastic bottle! If you watched my "What's in my bag" video, you would have know this is my favourite mineral water. Alot of people say there's no difference in taste but THERE IS! Really! Some got really weird taste!

Fact #9: I have an unopened blogshop!

I'm not sure how many of you know it but i really have an unopened blogshop! It was done during my poly days with Claire. Everything was setup nicely (I LOVE THE CONCEPT!), suppliers, everything done! But i think we were just lazy to open. Check it out at http://changingrm.blogspot.com! In the end we wore all the instocks that we were supposed to sell on our blogshop. So failure. LOL

Fact #10: My no.1 MOST HATED INSECT ARE ANTS!

Most people hate lizards or cockroaches but mine are ANTS! Lizard or cockroach normally roam in ones so you can easily kill them and forget about them after awhile. BUT for ants, if you spot them in a small bunch, like 5. YOU KNOW THERE'S GONNA BE MORE! I will just overturn my whole room, or even quietly follow them just to find the 'nest' and exterminate them! DIE ANTS DIE!!! MUAHAHAHAHA

Alright! That's another 10 things you know about me now! So in total, you know 20 things about me already! Maybe i should go think of more and blog them out! Do you have something weird or facts about yourself that you want to share with me? Comment below and i will reply you! Go on! :D

香港 Hong Kong Trip with BFFs: Day 4

It's finally the last day of our Hong Kong trip! As much as we hope our trip could be longer, we know our holiday will be ending soon. Like what Hui xin sms-ed me when i landed in SG - "Welcome back to reality" Zzz. Anyway, since it's our last day, i have to complete the few things to do in my "to-do-list!"

We packed our luggage the night before so that we won't waste time packing in the morning. So our search for AUTHENTIC dim sum began! If you read my previous day posts, you would realised the only other time we had dim sum was on the first day, and it wasn't that special.

Like always, a group shot to start our last day!

We decided not to waste any time, so we went straight to our hotel lobby and ask for directions to any nearby dim sum restaurants! Thankfully there's one near our hotel, i think just across the road!

This is when we finally realised something. We always wondered why the cafes/restaurants in HK would provide us hot water after we sat down. I was thinking maybe it's for us to drink. UNTIL the last day, they provide us with 2 FLASK OF HOT WATER. Then we realised - The hot water was meant to be use to sanitize our utensils all the while!!! Can you imagine our horror when we realise. LOL

The ordering sheet! Had our breakfast at Gold beauty star restaurant!

Some of the dim sums we ordered! All time favourite: Har gor and Siew mai!

Dim sum always comes in 4s, and there are 3 of us so there's always 1 extra. We were left with one siew mai and one har gor (and a stick of veggie) So i suggest playing the "open number" game. The last person remaining would have to eat the veggie while the other 2 get to choose and eat the dim sum each. In my mind, i was thinking. 2 out 3 chances. Cannot so suay i get the veggie de what.

香港 Hong Kong Trip with BFFs: Day 3

Before i start this post, here's the link to the previous "Prelude" post (LINK) Day 1 post (LINK) and Day 2 post (LINK)! Day 2 was really really tiring as we went to the Ocean Park for the whole day and even went night shopping at Mong kok. Not forgetting about the "Mini challenge" me and my BFFs had! Race back to the hotel, they took the cab while i took the MTR and guess what? I WON! YAY

Alright, now it's time for the third day! Day 3 is all about DISNEYLAND!!!

Woke up at around 9am to prepare ourselves (I'm ALWAYS the last to wake up!) I was super excited about going to Disneyland, I've read SO MUCH about Disneyland, it's like a dream come true! Abit kua zhang but still! I even specially brought my Stitch cap that i got from Korea along for this trip! Finally got the chance to wear it openly without feeling super awkward and getting weird stares. LOLOLLOL

Just like every HK post, a group photo early in the morning to start the day! my cap!

Went to have breakfast at another 茶餐厅! Breakfast is like only $4/ set in HK! Cheap right!

Like this photo alot! Got the "Out of the bed" look! AHAHHAHAHA

Our breakfast! Chicken chop with baked beans, 2 sunny side up eggs (I've no idea why HK set meals always comes with 2 eggs) and butter toast! The girls always can't decide what to order so everytime in the end also order the same thing as me. So i'll always order 3 sets of the same thing. ALWAYS
